Many iPhone 4 users have been experiencing problems with their reception on their iPhone. When they grip the phone, due to its external antenna, the signal drops. This "death grip" has been all over the news and Apple finally decided to do something about it. They recently released a sofware update that displays a more accurate signal for all iPhones(running iOS 4), for some people, this fixed the problem, some people were still unhappy. The only other way to fix the problem is to put on a case($30). So yesterday, Steve Jobs(CEO of Apple) toook of from his vacation in Hawaii and held a press conference disscussing how Apple is going to resolve this issue. In this video I summarize the event.

iOS 4 was released about a week ago, I finally had time to make a review/overview of it with my friend(who made my outro music to my videos) who has an iPod touch 2nd generation. In this video we compare and review the update for 3rd gen devices, to 2nd gen devices.

Sprint ball is a iPhone game app where the objective is to see how long you can stay in the game without crashing. You can slide through openings of the moving poles, but if you crash, you have to restart the game.
Pros:
1. Good game idea.
2. Very fun game(my opinion)
Cons:
1. No timer
2. From what I have seen, I don't know how scores are calculated, I'm pretty sure they are calculated very randomly.
3. No real objective. The only point is to see how long you can stay in the game, and it doesn't even give you an accurate score(from what I've seen).
Rating: 2.5/5
This game is a great concept, it is very fun, but needs a bit of work. Needs a timer, and an accurate score calculator. I would also like to see levels in this game. Even without more levels, if they added a timer and an accurate score calculator, I would rate this game 4/5.

Google Chrome OS source code was released a few days ago. It is still in pre-alpha but people now know what to expect from Chrome OS. It is not done at all yet, so many features don't work. All Chrome OS is, is a modified version of Google's Chrome web browser. It functions almost exactly the same. Google Chrome OS is just a web browser operating system. All that you can do is use the internet. I think this is great because many people buy computers only to go on the internet. Most people use the internet at least 80% of the time they are on their computer. They check email, go on twitter, myspace, facebook, youtube, etc. To sign into Chrome OS, you have to use your gmail account, and it signs you into your gmail immediately. When you sign in, you are brought to your google calendar. It doesn't matter whose computer you are on, you can access the same apps that you have on your computer on anybody's computer anywhere. This isn't that amazing since it is just your gmail account settings and email, but it is still a nice feature. I think that Google Chrome OS is especially great for notebooks. Most people buy notebooks only to go on the internet. On Google Chrome OS, the internet is literally everything. Anyway, these are just my thoughts on Google Chrome OS. I think it is a great idea and I think it will be a especially great OS for netbooks.

Today is the iPod's 8th birthday. On October 23rd 2001, Apple introduced iPod, the first FireWire based MP3 player. People were now able to transfer 1000 songs in 10 minutes. The first iPod was 5GB and only worked with Mac. It also required iTunes 2 to sync. It was one inch thin(thin then, now thick lol), and the size of a deck of cards. People used to think one inch was thin, now they think 15mm is thick, lol.

Windows 7 was released today. About two years after it's predecessor, Windows Vista. There are several versions of Windows 7, Starter($199), Home Premium($219), Proffessional($299), and Ultimate($319). I already have the Windows 7 RC so I have not bought Windows 7 yet, but will probobly buy it when the RC starts to expire. Here are a few of my favorite new features in Windows 7: Windows 7 features a mode to run Windows Xp programs, called Windows Xp mode. Windows Xp mode allows users to run Windows Xp applications inside Windows 7. This is esspecially good for buisness users who run buisness programs that don't work on Windows 7 in Windows 7. Also another cool feature is the new taskbar. You can now launch applications from the taskbar. Just drag a app icon into the taskbar and you will be able to launch the app from the taskbar much like the Mac OS X Dock. When you have multiple Windows open in an application, you can just hover over the app icon in the taskbar, and it will show the windows open in that application. Those are just a few of my favorite new features in Windows 7. Overall, it think it is a great OS. I even like it better than Windows Xp. I do think it is very expensive though, but if you are like me and use your computer for hours a day, or a computer geek(or both), then I would recommend it. If all you do is surf the web, then you probobly won't notice a difference from any OS.

The application FTP on the go is one of my favorite iPhone apps. It is a full FTP client, and it is for the iPhone. FTP on the go lets you edit, view, create, and even save files, right from an iPhone. All you have to do is type in your website URL, and then your username and password for your server, and you will be able to edit any file on your website/server. I think this is an amazing application and I highly recommend it. I think every web developer with an iPhone or iPod touch should get this app. It is worth $6.99.

Review:
The application "iCatchall" really lives up to it's name. The app features more the 24 apps in one, so you will save slot of space on your home screen. The app is mostly a utility app. It has a tip counter, a flashlight, a ruler, a unit converter, a leveler, a contact share program, a wifi disk, a few games, sound effects, and more. For 0.99, it not only saves you a lot of home screen space, it also saves you a lot of money. I hightly recommend this app.

Yesterday while making some minor changes to my website, I accidentally deleted a few blog posts. The blog posts got deleted because they were on the server and not on my computer. I forgot to transfer them to my computer. They will be back by next week.
